ALL-THAT-YOU-CAN-ASK-FOR GPS & MORE
by IsidroS, Nov. 14, 2008 - Pros: its the best GPS all-around gadget; reliable satellite access, music ++
- Cons: cannot say now; but only the best
- Comments:
I love TomTom products. My first GPS is a palm Zire 72 - from thereon I can't find another product that can match the excellent product development of a TomTom. My new GO 720 is my ultimate all-that-you-can-ask-for GADGET - it has an excellent GPS, an MP3 player (that makes your driving pleasant and not boring), my bluetooth headset (without the burden of wearing it); my portable photo viewer, my office relaxing gadget that runs on a bluetooth HiFi headset - what else can I ask for. Great product - TomTom, you are the BEST. ...

The TomTom GO 720 gives great navigation in a small package
by optok, Jun. 22, 2008 - Pros: Excellent accuracy & detailed mapping
- Cons: Discovered that you can't leave it plugged into the computer (may damage battery)
- Comments:
Incredible amount of very detailed information & apparently great accuracy (down to the exact lane on a freeway). Vey compact, but screen very readable. The variable speed rout preview is tremendous. Had to call customer service when the GO720 suddenly failed to turn on. Tech service had me push the reset on bottom of unit & it is now fine. I was told NOT to leave it connected (via USB port) to the computer & that this might damage the battery. Am planning an extensive driving trip in Wisconsin in August, & have already programmed my route & all stops. ...

The 720 is definitely the best GPS device I've ever used. Its like my 3rd device I've used and the screen is bigger and clearer than and I've previously used. The Map Share feature that it has is by far the most innovative GPS function I've seen - it l...

Prior to the release of the Go 720, TomTom lacked a true high-end model in its New Zealand line up. The previous top model - the One XL - was an excellent device in its own right (not to mention outstanding value for money), yet it lacked some of the blin... - Read full review at pcworld.co.nz
