Nikon D40 is a winner
by jadaki, Apr. 30, 2008 - Pros: Simple enough for a novice to take wonderful pictures.
- Cons: Upgraded lens are better than what came in the kit.
- Comments:

I bought this camera because I'm not wealthy but I really enjoy taking pictures. After reading a lot of reviews I bought the D40 and I'm so glad that I did. I found a website www.kenrockwell.com that gives some pointers to taking better pictures with it. It is a nice camera that easily takes super pictures. ...

Nikon D40
by Terry Sullivan - Pros: Compact, light, and easy to use. Helpful guide features. Very inexpensive for a D-SLR.
- Cons: Performance isn't quite as good as other entry-level D-SLRs. Only three AF points. Flash shots could be better.
- Comments:
Although Nikon continues to improve and hone its entry-level D-SLRs to make them easier to use, the D40 doesn't quite earn a coveted Editors' Choice award. ... - Read full review at pcmag.com
