    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) So easy my poodles can make good coffee!
      by cjburke, Sep. 28, 2008
    • Pros: Coffee is consistently brewed, easy enough for anyone to use, extremely convenient for morning commutes
    • Cons: The choice of cup sizes don't match up with our travel mugs, k-cups are relatively expensive
    • Comments:
All right, the poodles don't drink coffee. But if they did, they could make there own with this coffeemaker. I was already familiar with k-cup coffeemakers, having used a commercial one at a former employer. My wife fell in love with the one her mother bought earlier this year, and since the "brews-into-a-travel-mug" coffee maker that we had was on it's last legs, we bought one. The water reservoir holds enough water for all of our family of 4 to get a mug without re-filling. We purchased a wide variety of coffees, teas and hot chocolate to accommodate our tastes. It's incredibly simple - the first person to the kitchen in the morning turns it on to start heating the water. Three minutes later, it's ready to brew the first cup. Select one of the K-cups, put it in the top, put your mug under the spout, press the button for either large (9.5 oz) or small (7.5 oz) cup, and 30 seconds you've got hot coffee. Open the top and throw away the used cup. For larger mugs, you can run multiple cycles. Out of curiosity, I brewed a large mug, then brewed a second large using the same K-cup, and while I could tell the difference between the two, the second cup was still quite acceptable. It would be nice to have a 12 oz brew setting, but that's not a big deal. I know the machines used at my former employer are still working after 4+ years of heavy use, so I'm hopeful that my home machine will have a long life on our counter. ...

    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) Finally, a great cup of decaf
      by Paula T, Jul. 18, 2008
    • Pros: Great for decaf lovers. Sleek design
    • Cons: Loud vibration when moving water. No auto shut off
    • Comments:
In general I am very satisfied with my Keurig B40. I am a decaf coffee drinker and have had a hard time finding a coffee maker that handles decaf well. My search is over. I get a good cup every time whether I am using pre filled K cups or filling my own with the My K Cup. I have two issues. The first is the loud noise and vibration when the water is being pumped from the reservoir. The second is the lack of an auto shut off on my model. ...
