Wonderful product with a Full-of-Features package !
by deepakg198, Sep. 19, 2008 - Pros: It allows me to customize the stuff I see on the screen and download the graphical vehicles. I can also download and play mp3 songs.
- Cons: Its bulky and sometimes in-flexible to use like when finding addresses with missing parts like street number etc.
- Comments:
Its a good gadget with an efficient and very informative screens about the trip. It connects to the computer and I can download stuff available on the Garmin website to put into the GPS's memory and see it apply when turned on. The Bluetooth works perfectly great and as expected, it gives me freedom to talk without touching my phone while driving. This certainly is a wonderful product and I think its worth the money I spent on it. ...

Great GPS for the price....On Sale
by TexMexFF, Jul. 16, 2008 - Pros: Easy to find addresses. Great when you are in an unfamiliar area or road construction detours.
- Cons: New map does not have streets for neighborhood that has been around for at least a year.
- Comments:
Overall, this is a good product. Great when you run in to unexpected road construction. Need more routing options. Shortest distance or shortest time does not always give you the best route. For some reason the GPS keeps taking us of the Highway and routes us through neighborhoods for no apparent reason. ...

I AM NO LONGER LOST!
by Peter s Baby, Jul. 12, 2008 - Pros: The best feature is that this GPS names the street and/or highway you are turning onto.
- Cons: Haven't found any so far!
- Comments:
So far, I haven't found any downsides to this GPS although there could be some. I have used it twice so far and it makes me feel safer, especially at night. When you are a female travelling in unfamiliar territory, it makes a real difference in feeling safe. ...

Great GPS
by listeningtime, Jul. 4, 2008 - Pros: Fairly recent maps, good turn by turn directions (if it recognizes street)
- Cons: Missing some streets, thinks at least one address is in a different place than it is
- Comments:
Overall I'm pleased. It does think my work address is a few blocks north of where it actually is (would take me to a mall instead of my office building a few blocks south of it). It is missing some streets, although they are only 2 years old. ...

Fun and accurate!!!!
by mommaduck, Jun. 22, 2008 - Pros: GPS was easy to use and the maps were very easy to follow.
- Cons: I could not figure out how to add more MP3s, even with a scandisk memory card. Could be more portable.
- Comments:
It is my first GPS. I have seen others. The 550 was recommended to me and I do enjoy it. It is fun. I plan to test the accuracy when I take a road trip from Alberta to Ontario this summer. I would really love to see how accurate it is to find bathrooms for the kids along the way!!! ...

When I was born there where no TVs. This is magic!
by Gerry Garcia, Jun. 22, 2008 - Pros: Having used another GPS system I can truely state that this is the "best buy" ever. It is real time.
- Cons: As comparered to the Zure is a bit bulky, but worth it. Technology will downsize it soon enough.
- Comments:
My primary concernwith the previous GPS system I have used to navigate streets was rather slow to let me know when to turn or stay on the right side or left before an intersection. If you approach a complecated intersection this is critical. Garmin c550 tells me just what I need to hear and know. The feature of "on-box" phone capabilities is great. As well is the traffic alerts. ...

Great finder
by Brian, Nov. 3, 2007 - Pros: Easy to use, avoids traffic delays
- Cons: Doesn't always find quickest route
- Has Owned Product: 3 months
- Comments:
I owned a c330 and traded that one in for the c550 for the traffic avoidance. It really works and its only $5 per month for the service. Around Chicago traffic issues are always popping up and this will miss them or at least give you the option of goin...
