    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) Garmin Street Pilot C340
      by Deking, Sep. 20, 2008
    • Pros: allows two types of satellite reception. very accurate when locating addresses.
    • Cons: when satelite reception loss it clears memory of last location
    • Comments:
It is very accurate at finding directions. Have used it in multiple states and was able to find where I needed to go. I bought refurbished because there is a savings and it comes with the same warranty as a new one. I would recomend this to my friends. I like the feature that keeps track of moving time, stopped time, average speed, max speed, distance traveled, and direction of travel. Like the ability to look for nearby stores, gas, and restraunts, when in unfamiliar area. ...

    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) Ditch that paper map and go GPS!!!
      by cdeuser, Sep. 12, 2008
    • Pros: Very easy to use, helps locate places to eat, visit and stay
    • Cons: We used this in Philadelphia, PA and it steered us wrong on more than one occasion.
    • Comments:
This is easy to use out of the box. I received it a couple of days before my vacation to PA and I read the instructions but didn't have any time to mess with it before the trip. It got us everywhere we needed to go with a few exceptions. Over the course of the trip I learned a few tricks with it and I'm sure next time that I use it, it will be even better. I won't travel without my Garmin again - Gertie Garmin is what we have nicknamed our GPS. This was recommended to me by a friend who has the same one and I'm glad I took her advice. ...

    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) The Streetpilot C340
      by Deking, Sep. 1, 2008
    • Pros: very accurate. tracks direction of travel, average moving speed, distance traveled, and time spent.
    • Cons: when satelite reception it resets data. would like it if it would hold last position.
    • Comments:
Does a very good job of getting one to their destination. Internal antanea has good satelite reception. One must watch for the marker to next turn. Sometimes, it does not give voice prompt until last moment. Also, need to watch for forks in road. It does not give voice as to which direction at the fork. It does lose signal where one would expect it to lose, like in tunnels. It is very good at getting one to the correct location. I like the features that keep track of speed, distance, and direction of travel. It is very easy to use. Overall it is very good. I would recomend it to friends. ...

      by tastyhippie, Jul. 22, 2008
    • Pros: Great stress relief when traveling in unfamilliar areas
    • Cons: I wish the screen was bigger
    • Comments:
This is a great product. I bought it for traveling for work. I have multiple stops per day and this works great. It may not be "top of the line" but the price I paid for it online was unbeatable!...

    • Product Rating: 5 star(s) Great product at a reasonable price!
      by CMM2, Jun. 27, 2008
    • Pros: easy to see, up-to-date route knowledge
    • Cons: limited voice options--but that's a small thing in my opinion, for the price
    • Comments:
I like the fact that you can program in destinations you go to frequently. Most importantly, it seems to have up to date knowledge of my area, which some other GPS's do not have. ...

    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) It works Great!!!!
      by BIGGILL, May. 28, 2008
    • Pros: Simple to use, easy to see and very reliable.
    • Cons: Wish it had a more flexible mounting option so it could mount below the dash level.
    • Comments:
This was my first experience with a GPS device and it was not the unit recommended by a friend. However, I was well pleased with it's performance. The voice is clear and has good volume control. It seems to recalculate routes quickly if you make a wrong turn and seems to get irked if you miss too many turns. My wife and myself found that hilarious! Overall, a user friendly and useful traveling tool and we travel a lot!...

      by attorney575, Dec. 29, 2007
    • Pros: Great voice commands - easy to use - accurate
    • Cons: can't get latitude/longitude readings
    • Has Owned Product: 5 days

I transitioned to this unit from a Magellen high end instrument. This unit seems to be more feature rich and easier to use. I would like to see a latitude/longitude screen and can't use it for geocaching. ...
