    • Product Rating: 10 star(s) Solid as a rock !!
      by izeta, May. 29, 2008
    • Pros: Great picture quality. Nice 3" Screen. Enough manual controls. Good face tracking feature.
    • Cons: Not many predefined scene types. Bulky compared to ultraportables.
    • Comments:
Great picture quality. Nice 3" Screen. Enough manual controls. Good face tracking feature. Not many predefined scene types. Bulky compared to ultraportables. I intend to use it for everyday pictures. The automatic mode should work well for most instances; this mode is setup very good that most pictures come out very well. Best camera I had so far. Picture & video quality is very good. It has some (hidden) features, such as displaying the clock. The rotation sensor makes viewing the pictures enjoyable. The screen is bright and big so you can see the details. It's a little bit bulky compared to the ultraportables I've had before (Casio Exilim), but the picture quality it takes is worth it. ...

      by Rich Trenholm
    • Pros: Fast performance and excellent image quality; optical image stabilisation; face detection
    • Cons: No manual exposure controls; slightly heavy
    • Comments:
The Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS does the thinking for you. Its wealth of features include 10 scene modes, plus Canon's Digic III technology, which handles face detection and noise reduction. The screen is a large 76mm (3 inches) and the menu items accessibl...

    • Comments:
Though it doesn't have an optical viewfinder or manual exposure controls, it's still one of the top compact cameras we've seen. Now why is that?...

    • Product Rating: 4 star(s) Canon PowerShot SD870 IS
      by October 2007
    • Pros: Good image quality (at lower ISO settings), Accurate metering in the majority of situations, Very useful lens range with surprisingly good edge-to-edge performance, Useful and adaptable Auto ISO-shift function, Handy macro performance at wide end of lens,
    • Cons: AiAF/Face detection a little haphazard, Occasional tendency to ignore (and overexpose) bright regions, Touch wheel slightly awkward, Image quality suffers above ISO 400 due to noise and noise reduction issues, Easily scratched and scuffed, Manual control
