A rebate was offered when purchased. It took (3) months and numerous phone calls to finally get the rebate. I purchased the unit as an aid when traveling to unfamiliar destinations. The unit functioned perfectly the first (2) times used. The third time it began to randomely change modes. The fourth time the unit would not show position accurately. On the fifth attempt to use the unit it would not power up and repeatedly blew fuses. The unit was slightly out of the (1) year warranty when it died. I found Lowrance's customer service extremely poor. In my opinion, they simply do not want to talk to a customer with a problem. I finally was given an online price quotation to repair the unit that I felt was outrageous. I will put my money toward purchasing another brand and will never purchase another Lowrance product.
